Marcie Lovell is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals, families, and children.  She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Goucher College. She also completed post-graduate training in Attachment Therapy. 

Marcie’s work experience includes the National Institute on Drug Abuse, Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in the Department of Women’s and Children’s Services, Harford County’s Office of Family Court Services and Adoptions Together.  She worked with women and their newborns at the inpatient units and outpatient clinic providing clinical counseling with issues such as family planning, termination, adoption, bereavement, maternal substance abuse, and life changes while coordinating community resources to assist in alleviating stressors related to conflict or crisis. She also has worked with families of divorce by doing custody investigations for the courts.

Additionally, Marcie continues to do work for Adoptions Together where she trains and completes home studies for prospective adoptive individuals/couples on foster/adoption related issues. She completes home studies for foster care/adoption and after placement of the child she supervises these individuals and families to provide guidance and support.  In addition to Marcie’s work as a social worker, she is also a fitness instructor and promotes an overall sense of well-being, both physically and mentally.
